Daniel 6:16-17
“So the king gave the command, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.” Then a stone was brought and laid on the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the signets of his Lords, that the purpose concerning Daniel might not be changed.”
Daniel 6:16-17 NKJV
Daniel got in the cross hairs of some evil colleagues in the Babylonian empire.
They perfected a plan to terminate his life.
They told the king not to allow anyone to pray to any god or man except the king for 30 days.
It was a brilliant plan. Because they knew nothing could stop Daniel from praying.
So Daniel was going to be killed.
To cut a long story short, Daniel was thrown into the den of lions.
The Bible says in Daniel 6:17 that ‘Then a stone was brought and laid on the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the signets of his Lords, that the purpose concerning Daniel might not be changed.”
The king loved Daniel so much, yet he could not change the evil determination over his life.
The law of the Medes and Persians was set in stone. Nothing, no one and not even the king could alter it.
But God is not limited by anything. He can overturn and overrule any evil law or decree.
The God factor changes evil purpose.
He says in Romans 8:28 that all things work together for good to those that love God and are called according to His purpose
Ezekiel 21:27a says I will overturn overturn overturn it and it shall be no more
I pray that any evil purpose against your life will be changed by the Almighty God Who will have mercy on you in Jesus Name.

Read the entire chapter of Isaiah 38 to know more about the story of Isaiah and Hezekiah
When others pray for you, it is potent and powerful.
But other people can never feel what you feel because nobody can truly know your pain like you.
That is why it is important for you to learn to pray for yourself.
We see 2 occasions when God answers the prayers of Hezekiah very promptly. The first time was when Sennacherib, the king of Assyria came against Judah and was determined to capture the country.
The second occasion was when God Himself issued a death sentence against Hezekiah.
Because Hezekiah prayed, God overruled Himself. God overruled the word He had sent through His prophet, Isaiah. Isaiah was still within the palace when God sent him back to tell Hezekiah he had been given 15 more years. So, Hezekiah was one of the few people in this world that knew the year he was going to die.
There is potency in the prayers you pray for yourself.
Don’t mind that you are crying through the prayers. Hezekiah was in distress and he was crying as he prayed and beseeched God for his life. God saw his tears and heard his cry and had compassion on him.
I want to encourage you to pray for yourself.
God will hear, God will answer.
