Week 40 – Word and Message of The Week

Word of the week

JUST BE CAREFUL

Galatians 6:7 KJV says, ‘Be not deceived, God is not mocked for whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap’.

There are some people that delight in causing pain to others. They don’t care who they trample upon in order to achieve one goal or another.

If you happen to be like that, my advice to you is: JUST BE CAREFUL

You see those that cause others pain CANNOT be spared pain.

Sometimes we hurt people unknowingly. That’s not what I’m talking about here.
I’m talking about someone that hurts another person ON PURPOSE, DELIBERATELY.

Those that cause others pain deliberately will experience pain at one point or another in their lives.

You know that what you are doing is hurting your wife, husband, colleague, friend etc and yet you keep doing it. Please just be careful.

Those that cause emotional pain cannot be spared physical pain.

Avoid causing anyone emotional pain deliberately. Don’t be vindictive to anyone.
If you don’t stop causing pain, you cannot avoid pain.

I pray that God will empower us to make the right choices this week in Jesus Name.

Message of the week

BE KIND – PART 2

Matthew chapter 1 gives us the genealogy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

And this genealogy is filled with the names of men, men and more men EXCEPT for two women, Ruth and Rahab.

Today I will be talking about Ruth.
Why was Ruth in the genealogy of the Lord Jesus Christ?
She was a Moabite.

God specifically said in Deuteronomy 23:3 that an Ammonite or Moabite could not enter into the congregation of the Lord.

So, if a Moabite could not enter into the congregation of the Lord, why was Ruth in the genealogy of Jesus?

Ruth was in the genealogy of Jesus because of kindness.

You see, Ruth loved beyond the grave. She was kind to her mother in law Naomi despite the fact that her husband had died and nothing tied her to Naomi anymore.

Naomi, Ruth’s mother in law, made a pronouncement to Ruth (and Orpah, her daughter in law). We don’t know what happened to Orpah. But what we do know is that the pronouncement of Naomi stuck with Ruth all through her life till she became listed in the genealogy of Jesus.

That pronouncement can be found in Ruth 1:8 NLT and it reads this:

‘… may the Lord reward you for your kindness to your husbands and to me.’

Be a kind person.

Kindness pays.

I pray that you have a great week. God bless you.
