Week 38 – Word and Message of The Week

Word of the week

GOD CARES FOR YOU

1 Peter 5:7 NLT says, ‘Give all your worries and cares to God for He cares about you.’

The same Scriptures in the NKJV say, ‘Casting all your care upon Him for He cares for you.’

Yes, God cares for you.

Have you ever been in a situation where you feel no one cares for you? Maybe you are going through one crisis or situation, and it feels like you are all alone.

That is not true. You are not alone. God cares for you and because He cares for you, He will send something or someone into your life to care for you on His behalf.

In 1 Kings 17:6, God sent ravens to feed Elijah in the morning and in the evening. Later, God sent Elijah to a widow who provided daily meals for him in a famine.

God cares for you.

Let this word encourage you this week.
I pray that you have a wonderful week. God bless you. Amen.

Message of the week

DON’T BOW TO PRESSURE
Control your temper, for anger labels you a fool’. Ecclesiastes 7:9 NLT

2 Corinthians 4:8 NLT says, ‘We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair.

I want you to know that there will always be pressures in life. No one wants pressure. I think almost everyone prefers a life of ease.

But sometimes or most times pressure is needed to win.

Philippians 3:14 KJV says, ‘I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.’

An athlete wins a race because they apply themselves to pressure. Football, rugby, tennis stars win because of the pressure they subject themselves to.

There would always be pressure in life; there is good pressure and there is bad pressure.

A student that refuses to study because of pressure will fail exams and then will go through the bad pressures that accompany poor decisions.

Working very hard is pressuring but it is a good pressure that leads to success.

When you feel pressure, you can do the following:

  1. Check the reason for your pressure, maybe you are doing too much. But then, you may actually need to do a lot. An example is taking care of a child with or without any help. This could be intensely pressurising, but the grace of God is available if you ask for it.
  2. The second thing you can do when you feel the pressure is to delegate tasks that others can do for you.
  3. And the third thing you can do when you feel the pressure is to sing or listen to music. I do this a lot when I’m doing unpleasant chores.
  4. And the final thing you can do when you feel the pressure is to make a choice to be happy. Nehemiah 8:10 says, ‘The joy of the Lord is your strength’. When you make a choice to be happy, a lot of pressures are lifted off you.

Remember every great person in life is a product of pressures.

Don’t bow to the pressures of life. Let the pressures of life propel you to be who God wants you to be.

Let this message encourage you this week.
I pray that you have a wonderful week. God bless you. Amen.
