Word of the week
Wiser than your enemies
Psalm 119;98 NLT
“Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are my constant guide.”
Sometimes it feels like enmity will never end.
There’s always someone that doesn’t like you
There is always someone envious of you.
There’s always someone that doesn’t wish you well
The truth is we met enmity on this world
and when we grow old and leave this world, you can either leave the enmity behind or continue it in eternity
If you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, when you die you go to heaven, Gods dwelling place where there no enmity
The opposite will happen if you don’t receive Christ.
May none of us spend eternity in hell in Jesus Name.
So, enmity will not end but God has promised to make us wiser than our enemies
The only condition is that we spend time in the Word of God
The instrumentality that God uses to make you and I wiser than our enemies is the Word of God
Stay in the Word. Stay in victory.
I pray that you have a good week.
God bless you
Message of the week
Your thinking and your life 2
Proverbs 23:7 NKJV
“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you.”
One of the reasons you must pay attention to your thoughts is that your thoughts dictate your speech and actions and how you talk and behave will determine your life
It is helpful to be pragmatic about life’s issues
When you are pragmatic, it means you are practical in the way you view people, situations and life in general
When you are pragmatic, you will not allow many things to bother you.
When you are pragmatic in your thinking, you will not be given to extreme emotions, such as extreme anger or extreme affection.
You will be an even tempered person and there is safety when you operate in that zone.
Years ago when I came to the UK, one wise lady told me that when you leave the office (whether you go on break or you go home for the day) you become the topic of your colleagues that are still in the office.
I made up my mind that I will smile with my colleagues and relate well with them even though when I’m their topic when I leave the office.
King Solomon, the wisest man that lived wrote Ecclesiastes in the Bible
He said in Ecclesiastes 7:21 that we should not pay attention to everything we hear, otherwise you will hear people cursing you.
I just want to encourage you to be more pragmatic about life so that your life will be more peaceful.
Some will like you, some will not like you.
You need to make a choice to be a peaceful person regardless of who likes or doesn’t like you
