Week 04-2022- Word and Message of The Week

Word of the week

Your thinking and your life

Proverbs 23:7a NKJV

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

There are so many bad news in the world today that it is hard to be positive and stay positive.

But you must try. Don’t let the bad news overwhelm your heart.

You must endeavour to be positive and stay positive. You can only do this by having a positive mindset which comes from thinking wholesome thoughts.

Your life is a reflection of your thinking.

It is what your thinking is that your life will be.

If your thinking is wholesome, your life will be wholesome

It your thinking is faulty your life will be faulty.

The Bible says in Philippians 4:8 NKJV says

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”

Choosing what to think about is very important. Avoid the impossibility mindset.

Numbers 13 gave an interesting account of the 12 spies that Moses sent to the promised land. 10 of the spies bemoaned the giants in the land and they said ‘we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so were we in their sight.’ 2 of the spies Joshua and Caleb said ‘what nonsense, we are more than able to conquer this giants’ And they did.

Renew your mind constantly with the Word of God so that your thinking will be in line with God is saying about you.

Message of the week

Pull him down PhD syndrome

1 Chronicles 12:18 NKJV

“Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, chief of the captains, and he said: “We are yours, O David; We are on your side, O son of Jesse! Peace, peace to you, And peace to your helpers! For your God helps you.” So David received them, and made them captains of the troop.”

Some men came to David, they said they were going to help him and they did help him.

In life, there is no need to pull anyone down.

If the PhD syndrome is in your life, you gossip, backbite and spoil others, you are the one that spoils people before they reach their helpers of destiny.

These traits show where you are in life. It shows that you are climbing at a slow rate. It could also mean you are grounded. May we not be grounded in Jesus Name.

Saul did his best to pull down David. He did not succeed.

I pray for you and I pray for myself that ‘pull him down’ people will not succeed against our lives in Jesus Name

There’s a certain category of people that don’t pull down others and that category is those that are soaring.

Have you seen two eagles in flight fighting themselves. They don’t have the time.

If you live in Nigeria, for instance, have you ever heard of Mr Aliko Dangote and Mr Femi Otedola in a war of words to pull themselves down? You won’t.

If you live in the US, have you ever heard Bill Gates and Warren Buffett fighting each other? No.

The great musician now turned Evangelist, Evangelist Obey Fabiyi sang a song when I was growing up. The song says, ‘eni ire ki ba eni ire je.’ The translation means, ‘a good person does not spoil a good person’.

Think about this the next time you are tempted to pull down someone with backbiting and gossip.

Great people don’t fight themselves. They collaborate.

Small minded people fight, gossip, castigate and pull down others.

If that is where you are, remove yourself from that place.

Resolve to be among the great.

They soar and collaborate with others and then keep on soaring.

Be a helper of destiny. Don’t pull others down.
