2 Samuel 6:20-23 NLT says
When David returned home to bless his own family, Michal, the daughter of Saul, came out to meet him. She said in disgust, “How distinguished the king of Israel looked today, shamelessly exposing himself to the servant girls like any vulgar person might do!” David retorted to Michal, “I was dancing before the Lord, who chose me above your father and all his family! He appointed me as the leader of Israel, the people of the Lord, so I celebrate before the Lord. Yes, and I am willing to look even more foolish than this, even to be humiliated in my own eyes! But those servant girls you mentioned will indeed think I am distinguished!” So Michal, the daughter of Saul, remained childless throughout her entire life.
David was Michal’s first husband and apparently there was unpleasant history between them, mostly from Michal’s side.
No matter what has transpired between you and anyone, just watch your words.
Words don’t vanish. Your words don’t leave you the same.
Affliction can come upon a person through the words they say.
Miriam, the sister of Moses was afflicted when she spoke against him.
Familiarity with someone is never an excuse to be rude to them and talk to them or about them anyhow.
If you don’t want to be barren in any areas of your life, if you want the promises of God to be fulfilled in your life and if you want to steer clear of affliction, I counsel to weigh your words carefully before you speak.

Message of the week
John 1:11 NLT says
‘He came to his own people, and even they rejected him.’
Sometimes the people you expect support from may reject you or outrightly persecute you.
Some people will like you, some will not like you.
And it may not necessarily be because of something you did or didn’t do.
That’s just the way of people.
Just as everybody will not like you, everybody will also not hate you.
If the whole world is persecuting you, there will still be someone that loves you and cares for you.
Jesus was crucified on the cross. Before then, his disciples had fled. After Jesus died, Joseph of Arimathea came and performed the funeral rites for Jesus and gave him dignity in His death.
Of course we know Jesus rose again and is seated at the right hand of God in heaven
The essence of what I’m saying is that no matter who rejects or persecutes you, there will always be someone that will be a blessing to you.
Don’t feel dejected if some section of the population don’t like you. Just be patient because another section of the population will show up to be a blessing to you.
