Word of the week
One giant class
Proverbs 6:6 NLT
“Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise!”
About 10 years ago, I was in London Waterloo East station early in the morning. I was waiting for a train, so I was fiddling with my phone just to pass the time.
I heard the voice of God telling me to leave my phone and observe what is going on around me.
So, I obeyed and started to observe what was going on around me in the station.
Life is one giant class. There’s a lot to learn.
You can learn from the rich. You can learn from the poor.
You can learn from the wise man. You can learn from a foolish man.
You can learn from an adult. You can learn from a child.
Life is a giant class. Make sure you learn from it.
Even the creation of God is talking.
Psalm 19:1 says the heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament shows His handiwork.
The creation of God is talking. The creatures of God are talking.
Learn from everybody. Try not to learn from your own experience. It could be too costly.
A notable author, John Maxwell, said that you will not live long enough to learn from your own experiences in life.
Let us all do our best to learn from life’s giant class and it will be well with us in Jesus Name.
Thank you for listening to me.
I pray that you have a good week.
God bless you
Message of the week
When I saw Him
Rev 1:17a
“When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead.
This Scripture is talking about John the Beloved when he saw Jesus on the isle of Patmos.
Sometimes I wonder if some Christians have really seen God.
There are some children of God, deacons, pastors that will not return your call or reply your texts.
They act as if you are beneath them.
Why do people behave like this?
It is because they have not seen God and their flesh is still very much alive.
But when you truly see God, it will be as if your are dead.
When Isaiah saw the Lord, he said ‘woe is me, I am undone’
All the lofty opinions that Isaiah had about himself were shattered the moment he saw the Lord.
The way you behave will show whether you have seen the Lord or not.
Apostle Paul saw God. He said in Galatians 2:20 ‘I am in crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I but Christ lives in me…’
Apostle Paul also said in Colossians 3.3 ‘For you are dead and your life is hid in Christ in God.’
When you make yourself dead to sin, insults, anger and other works of the flesh, something good will begin to happen to you.
Your life will be hidden in Christ in God.
I will try to break this down with the little understanding God gives me.
You see Christ is hidden in God.
God says if you behave dead (even though you are alive), He will hide you in Christ Who is already hidden in God.
Even me, a mere mortal, if I hide something, you can’t find it.
How much more if God hides something or someone
God wants to hide us from enemies and the evil situations of life
But to hide us, we need to be dead to sin, anger, envy, wrath, sexual sins and other works of the flesh
I pray that God will give us the grace to say no to sin and all works of the flesh so that He can continually hide us in victory in Jesus Name
