Week 30-2022- Word and Message of The Week

Word of the week

You will still laugh again

Romans 8:28 NLT

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”

Something happened to my husband many years ago that upset him so much. He heard a bad news on a day he was preparing to pick me up from the airport. He was so upset that he traveled on auto pilot from one city to another. He had no idea what he was doing

Some years after, he tells me he is thankful that the incident happened.

In fact he says he feels like going to meet those that engineered the event to say thank you.

This is because he saw how God moved him forward and blessed him.

And the event he was sad about what the trigger that God used to lift him up higher.

My message to you today is you will still laugh again;

You will rise again;

Joyful days are ahead of you;

Your latter days shall be greater than your former;

Don’t look down.

Look up for God is on your side

Message of the week

The Bildads of life

Job 8:1-4 NLT

“Then Bildad the Shuhite replied to Job: “How long will you go on like this? You sound like a blustering wind. Does God twist justice? Does the Almighty twist what is right? Your children must have sinned against him, so their punishment was well deserved.”

Job had just lost everything: his business, properties, investments and all his children.

He didn’t just lose everything, he lost everything in one day!

To make matters worse, he had health challenges.

Job was crushed, devastated and was cursing the day he was born.

3 of his friends came to condole with him upon the great losses he suffered.

But the events that happened afterwards showed that they should have stayed in their houses.

They lambasted Job, they heaped blame upon blame on him.

In the Scriptures we read, Bildad said Job’s children were sinners and their death was a punishment well deserved.

It got to a point Job called them ‘miserable comforters’

Bildad was the spokesman of the group.

The Bildads of life are miserable comforters. As they are ‘comforting’ you in quote over your problems, they are also busy judging you.

Sometimes we don’t understand why bad things happen to people

What you should not do is sit down on a throne as if you are God and start judging them.

Remember that you are a human being like them and God says the measure you use to judge others is the measure He will use to judge you.

When someone experiences a tough situation, just comfort them and move on. But to gossip about them behind their back or to even confront them with the reason you think they experienced the problem is unhelpful and hurtful

Let’s learn to put others in our situation. Words are very powerful. Words can bless. Words can hurt. Words can wound.

Don’t speak words to people that will make them look for a river to jump in, to end their lives.

Don’t say to people what you don’t want another person to say to you.

Let’s just approach the suffering of others in a humane way. You don’t know the cause of their suffering. Commiserate with them without judging

I pray that you have a good week. God bless you.
